About us
The Israeli Association of Municipal Engineers was established in 1964 and has since worked to promote the field of municipal engineering and to advance the professional status of engineers and architects serving in Israel’s local authorities and local planning committees.
The Association brings together the majority of municipal engineers and architects from local authorities and planning committees across Israel. It conducts extensive professional and legal activities in the fields of planning and construction, promotes the municipal engineering professions, provides guidance and support to its members, and strengthens their status and professional authority. The Association also organizes local and international conferences and seminars, and maintains strong, effective relationships with the Ministry of the Interior, planning institutions, and other organizations to advance planning and construction in Israel.
The Association has approximately 300 members, including current municipal engineers and architects, engineers from local planning committees, and retired professionals who are defined as honorary members.
Every four years, the Association’s members elect a board whose role is to actively promote the Association’s goals. The board elects from among its members a Chairperson, CEO, and Treasurer, who together form the executive leadership of the organization.
